The AudreysSometimes the Stars A lost girl's journey through a surreal landscape, and her yearning to make a connection in this distant yet strangely familiar world.
Ari, One of my students posted the clip on her blog. Then one of my animation teachers and mentors posted it on his Facebook page. It is very good. I think I can see some Melbournish influences with trams like Shaun Tan used in The Lost Thing. And there is a Miyazaki feel to some inside the tram sequencences that hark to Spirited Away. The falling sequence is emotionally powerful. And it's all set to Australian music by The Audreys. Awesome.
SO PRETTY. I love this!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! A wonderful narrative.
